We love things a little bit spicy. This recipe will certainly add spice to your turkey but you can certainly regulate the spice level by the amount you actually inject into the turkey. We like to pump our turkey full of flavor and then sear it all in with the fryer cooking all of the spice with the meat. It really makes for a great tasting turkey which some might describe as quite the treat!
1.5 Cups - Chicken or Turkey Broth 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce 1 Tablespoon Sea Salt (or regular salt) 1 Tablespoon Cayenne Pepper (black pepper can be used if desired) 1 Tablespoon Garlic Salt 1 Tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
Preparing the Turkey Broth:

We make our own turkey broth using the turkey giblets and turkey neck. While simmering the turkey broth, we add 1 tablespoon of worcestershire, 1/4th of a medium size onion, 1 habanero pepper, 1/2 tablespoon of salt and 1/2 tablespoon black pepper to the broth while it simmers. We let the broth simmer for a few hours. You will have to keep adding water to the saucepan during the process. This will certainly spice up your giblets and neck. If you like a little bit spicy, your turkey neck will taste great as a little snack before feasting on the main course! |
